Probe 2 Faulty identifies the evaporator probe alarm which flashes on the
display and is recorded in the Service menu, under Alarms.
The alarm may be caused by the interrupted or out of calibration "NTC
probe defrosting" evaporator probe or by the board analogue input
Check probe connection
Access the electronic board, “S.EVAP.” connector
Check the probe connection to the board
If the connection is loose, connect the probe again and check that the alarm does not appear on display
If there is oxide on the connection, remove it and check that the alarm disappears
If the alarm remains, invert the evaporator probe with the air probe.
If the Probe 1 Faulty air probe alarm flashes on the display, the evaporator probe is faulty
replace the probe
If by inverting the evaporator probe with the air probe the alarm remains, it means that
the problem is the analogue input of the electronic board
replace the board
It is possible to identify the cause of the alarm by checking the probe with the
multimeter
If, with multimeter set in
Ω
, the probe is interrupted or the resistive
value is not within the range of use (see tab. NTC)
replace the probe
If, with multimeter set in
Ω
, the resistive value of the probe matches the
temperature inside the cabinet (see tab. NTC)
replace the board
