Changing the Network Password
Overview
A powerline network that you configure with FRITZ!Powerline is
protected from the outset by a network password. All devices in the
network adopt the same password. You can change this password for
an individual powerline device or for the entire network.
Example 1
You would like to take individual powerline devices out of the network
in order to build several smaller networks from the larger powerline
network.
Example 2
The password of the powerline network is to be changed because the
old password is no longer secure.
Instructions: Changing the Password of an Individual FRITZ!Powerline
1.
Start the FRITZ!Powerline program.
2.
Next to the FRITZ!Powerline device that is to receive a new
network password, click on “more”.
3.
Enter the new password and then click on “OK”.
Instructions: Changing the Password of the Powerline Network

Use a LAN cable to connect the FRITZ!Powerline device to a
computer on which the FRITZ!Powerline software is installed.
2.
Start the FRITZ!Powerline program.
