No Connection with the Wireless Access Point

Cannot establish a WLAN connection between the 
FRITZ!WLAN Repeater and the wireless LAN access point via 
WPS.

The connection via WPS failed.

Start the connection procedure again (see

).

The “LAN Bridge” operating mode is set in the 
FRITZ!WLAN Repeater. In this mode the wireless LAN access 
point can only be connected using a LAN cable. In this operat-
ing mode you can use WPS only to connect wireless devices 
like notebooks and smartphones with the FRITZ!WLAN Re-
peater.

Switch the operating mode to “WLAN bridge” in the “System / 
Operating Mode” menu in the user interface.

WPS is disabled on the wireless access point.

Install the latest firmware for your wireless access point and 
then enable the WPS function in the access point.

The encryption of your wireless access point is set to “WEP” 
or “non-encrypted”. WPS can only be used with WPA/WPA2 
encryption. 

Configure encryption with WPA/WPA2 in the user interface of 
your wireless access point.
