Maintenance
DANGER!
Mains voltage!
– Maintenance work may only be performed by spe-
cialised personnel.
– Before beginning with maintenance work, unplug
the mains plug and protect the device against being
unintentionally switched back on.
– Put safety equipment back into operation after
maintenance work.
– Indicate maintenance work with warning signs.
We recommend keeping a safety logbook
‘Safety logbook’ on page 54, where all work (mainte-
nance, repairs......) performed on the device is entered.
9.1 Crushing plates
The crushing plates will get worn after a certain time, depending on the
material to be crushed. Check their surfaces at regular intervals. To turn
or change the plates, observe the instructions at
‘Replacing the crushing plates and support walls’ on page 28.
9.2 V-belt
It is normally not necessary to re-tension the V-belt. However, if you
detect that the belt is squeaking or the device's throughput rate is
reduced, re-tensioning or a replacement may be required.
Depending on the load placed on the device, the V-belt needs to be
checked for wear at regular intervals and replaced, if necessary.
