6.3 Replacing the crushing plates and support walls
DANGER!
Mains voltage!
– Before beginning with maintenance and assembly
work, disconnect the mains plug and protect the
device against being unintentionally switched back
on!
– Indicate maintenance and assembly work with
warning signs.
On delivery of the jaw crusher, a set of crushing plates (17, 21) and the
support walls (11) are firmly mounted on it. The jaw crusher is ready for
use after connecting it to the power supply.
The crushing plates (to an extremely small extent also the support walls)
are subject to wear and may need to be turned and replaced at a later
stage.
NOTICE!
Make sure the crushing plates on the right and left
sides protrude somewhat beyond the crushing jaws.
If it is noticed during an inspection or while cleaning
that only the lower parts of the crushing jaws are worn,
the symmetrical jaws can be simply turned over.
The fixed and movable crushing jaws have different
forms.
The surfaces of the fixed crushing plate are exactly par-
allel; the moveable crushing jaw is convex on the
crushing side, and it is somewhat longer.
To remove the fixed crushing jaw, you must set the
opening angle to "normal" position. For more informa-
tion, see Chapter
