General Instructions 

Read these instructions carefully prior to 

installation and use. Keep this manual for 

future reference.

The product may only be used as set out in 

the assembly and operating instructions. The 

guarantee is only valid should the product be used 

in the manner intended and in accordance with 

the instructions. 

Notes and warnings

•  Warning for appliance with R290 refrigerant 

gas (refer to the rating plate for the type of 

refrigerant gas used).

•  CAUTION ON FIRE

BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE

R290 refrigerant gas complies 

with European environmental directives.

This appliance contains R290 refrigerant 

gas.

Appliance shall be installed, operated and 

stored in a room with a floor area larger 

than 12 m

2

.

•  For repair and maintenance; see manual 

"Repair and maintenance - units with R290" 

on www.frico.net.

•  To avoid damage, place the unit in an 

upright position for at least 24 hours before 

initiation. 

•  The appliance shall be stored so as to 

prevent mechanical damage from occurring.

•  When the portable air conditioner or 

dehumidifier is turned on, the fan can 

work continuously stable under normal 

conditions to provide the minimum 

air volume of 100 m

3

/h even when 

the compressor is closed due to the 

temperature controller.

•  Do not pierce or burn.

•  Do not perforate any of the components in 

the refrigerant circuit. Refrigerant gas may 

be odourless.

•  The air conditioning (AC) is only suitable 

for indoor use, and is not suitable for other 

applications.

• 

Place the AC in a flat and dry place and keep 

a distance of above 50 cm between the unit 

and the surrounding objects or walls.

•  After the AC is installed, ensure that the 

power plug is intact and firmly plugged into 

the power outlet, and place the power cord 

orderly to prevent someone from being 

tripped or pulling out the plug.

•  Do not put any object into the air inlet and 

outlet of the AC. Keep the air inlet and outlet 

free from obstructions.

•  When drainage pipes are installed, ensure 

that the drainage pipes are properly 

connected, and are not distorted or bended.

•  Use a water trap if the hose is connected to 

the drainage system.

•  While adjusting the upper and lower wind-

guide strips of the air outlet, pluck it with 

hands gently to avoid damaging wind-guide 

strips.

•  When moving the AC, make sure that it is in 

an upright position.

•  The AC should stay away from gasoline, 

flammable gas, stoves and other heat 

sources.

•  Don't disassemble, overhaul and modify 

the AC arbitrarily, otherwise it will cause 

malfunction or even bring harm to 

persons and properties. To avoid danger, 

if failure occurs, ask the manufacturer or 

professionals to repair it.

•  Do not install and use the AC in the 

bathroom or other humid environments.

•  Do not pull the plug to turn off the AC.

•  Do not place cups or other objects on the 

unit to prevent water or other liquids from 

spilling into the AC.

•  Do not use insecticide sprays or other 

flammable substances near the AC.

•  This appliance can be used by children 

aged from 8 years and above and persons 

with reduced physical, sensory or mental 

capabilities or lack of experience and 

knowledge if they have been given 

supervision or instruction concerning use of 

the appliance in a safe way and understand 

the hazards involved. Children shall not 

play with the appliance. Cleaning and user 

maintenance shall not be made by children 

without supervision. 

•  Children of less than 3 years should be kept 

away unless continuously supervised. 

•  Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 

years shall only switch on/off the appliance 

provided that it has been placed or installed 

in its intended normal operating position 

and they have been given supervision or 

instruction concerning use of the appliance 

in a safe way and understand the hazards 

involved. 

•  Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 

years shall not plug in, regulate and clean 

the appliance or perform user maintenance.
