Extending the range – using a repeater
Start-up
To extend the range of the sensor, use a repeater.
Ideally, position it half way between the display mod-
ule and the sensor.
It is also possible to amplify the signals of
several
sensors
using
one repeater
. For very long distances
or very adverse conditions, several repeaters can be
installed to ensure optimal transmission.
The repeater is already fully functional upon delivery
and does not need to be activated. Just plug it into a
power outlet using the USB port.
Positioning the display module vertically and align-
ing it in the direction of reception can improve the
connection range.
Checking the connection
The radio connection between the sensor and the
display module is checked at regular intervals. If the
connection is interrupted, this will be indicated on the
display module.
If you still wish to check the connection manually,
perform a connection check. To do this, press the
activation button again using a paper clip.
If the indicator light
flashes twice
, there
is a
connection
to the display module. If the indicator
light only
flashes once
, there is
no connection
to the display module. In this case, the distance
between the sensor and the display module must
be shortened or a repeater must be connected (see
section «Extending the range – using a repeater»).
