, the operation of the ASC-50 can be explained in terms of the various
functional blocks.

Micro-controller
The micro-controller acts as a central administrator for all functional elements. Keypad operations are
transformed into a format that the Digital Signal Processor (DSP) can recognize and display characters
generated by the micro-controller.
Input Amplifier
Gain settings, single/differential input control, and DC offset level functions are incorporated within the input
amplifier.
