SF – MFID Format (Voice Frame Encoder submenu)
Sets Implicit or Explicit mode for the MFID in the opcode. When set to “1 – Standard MFID” the standard
Manufacturers ID (00) is implied as being used. When set to “0 – Explicit Format” the Manufacturer’s
ID is part of the opcode. Select in a list entry window using the Up/Down (▲▼) keys or spin knob.
Service Options (Voice Frame Encoder submenu)
Sets the type of services in use by the subscriber unit. The range of values is from hexadecimal 00 to FF.
Alpha numeric entries are made using the ▲▼ (Up/Down), and ◄► (Left/Right) keys, numeric keypad,
and spin knob. The entry is the hexadecimal sum of the values chosen from the table below (E P D M R
P-L):
E – Emergency
00 = Normal
80 = Emergency status requiring special processing
P – Protected (encrypted)
00 = Non-protected mode
40 = Protected mode
