Viewing Phrases
This dictionary also contains extensive lists of
phrases so that you can learn the idiomatic uses of
many words.
Note: Not all words in the dictionary
have phrases.
1. At the Entry screen, type a word (e.g.,
run).
2. Press
MORE
.
3. Press
to highlight a phrase
(e.g.,
on the run).
4. Press
ENTER
to view its definition(s).
5. Press
BACK
to return to the phrases.
6. Press
CLEAR
when done.

Understanding
sb
and
sth
In many phrases, the abbreviations
sb and sth
appear.
sb stands for “somebody” and sth stands
for “something.” These abbreviations are variables
that you can replace with any appropriate noun.
