PLAYING INSTRUCTIONS

The Franklin® AQUATICZ™ Polo game has rules based off of the official game of water polo.

The object of the game is to be the first team to score 11 points by scoring goals when you get the polo

ball into the opponent’s net.

GAME SET-UP

Start by creating two teams of players. If there are an odd number of players, choose one player to be the

referee. Each team then will designate 1 player to be their goalie. Once teams are created, place each goal

about 15ft (4.6m) apart from one another with the open ends facing towards each other. If the body of water

is smaller than 15ft (4.6m), the game can still be played. If you are playing in a body of water greater than

15ft (4.6m), do note that the goals are floating and they can drift off.

RULES

The game can begin when each team is positioned on their half of the playing area and the ball has been

placed in the middle between both goals. Players then are going to try and get the ball into the goal opposite

of theirs. Players can only use one hand when handling the ball. Only the goalie is allowed to use two hands.

The ball can be advanced by either throwing or swimming with the ball in front of them. If the ball is not in

front, the play stops and the opposite team gains possession of the ball at the point of foul.

SCORING

A point is scored when the polo ball enters either goal. When this happens the scoring team gains one point

and the goalie that was scored upon gains possession of the ball. Once a team scores 11 points the game is over.
