INSPECT THE SHIPMENT
Before installing jet charger on tank,
make sure that tank tapping (or hex bushing) is free of
excess galvanize flashings or any other obstruction.
Clean tapping by screwing a steel pipe plug into the
tapped opening and removing it. Otherwise an obstructed
tapping will damage the jet charger threads.
For best operation, the jet charger should be installed in
a tapped opening located approximately 1/2 the height of
the tank. Where the tank is in a horizontal position, the jet
charger is connected in the center opening at one end of
the tank.
Figure 1 & 2 - Assemble plastic tubing and fittings as
shown. With the jet charger body in a vertical position,
attach one end of the plastic tubing to the bottom opening
of the jet charger, and the other end to the suction of the
pump. (See Fig. 2)

Figure 3 - Use 7/8” wrench on plastic elbow, as shown.
Do not tighten by applying pressure to plastic body as
illustrated.
NOTE: The joint between the plastic elbow and the jet
charger body contains a rubber O-ring for sealing. This
joint should only be hand tightened.
OPERATION
The jet charger is especially designed to maintain the
proper ratio of air and water in the pressure tank. When
the water level in the tank is above the jet charger inlet,
