Assembling sequence of hydr. motor and mech. seal, see fig. 13.
2) Assemble mechanical seal
according to instruction 290-036-4.
Clean seal faces with clean rags
wetted with denaturated alcohol.
When assembling the rotating part
of mechanical seal, use assembling
cylinder 3033321 to be sure that
seal lands at the shoulder of the
shaft. This before tightening the
locking screws. Locking screw to be
secured with Loctite 243.

THE LAPPED FACES OF MECHANICAL SEAL MUST BE
TREATED VERY CAREFULLY.
STATIONARY PART IS VERY BRITTLE AND MAY CRACK IF
DROPPED OR SCRATCHED AGAINST OTHER PARTS.
3) Use the assembling cylinder (3037595) to assemble ceramic sleeve.
Press firmly until sleeves land on upper seal.
Do not remove the cylinder before all FRAMO shaft seals has been installed.
THE CERAMIC SLEEVE MUST BE HANDLED VERY
CAREFULLY AS IT IS VERY BRITTLE AND MAY CRACK IF
DROPPED
4) When assembling upper seal ring
housing to hydr. motor, position the
flanges on upper seal housing and
pressure inlet on hydr. motor
as shown in fig. 16.
