Keep all caps on the optical devices until they are used. We recommend you use proper caution
when cleaning the optical devices. Use 98% colourless isopropyl alcohol to clean the unit; don’t
ingest, pour or inhale alcohol and clean with a piece of cloth that is not fluffy.
Use the same alcohol to clean the connector. It is important that the alcohol is pure because lower
concentrations of alcohol contain more water that evaporates slower than alcohol and can leave
residuals. Non-alcoholic substances usually dirty the cutting equipment, reduce its functionality and
decrease the performances of the connectors.
Also coupling bushings need cleaning. If they are not equipped with connectors, you can use dry
compressed air. Otherwise, use non-abrasive microfiber sticks to clean the alignment sleeves and
