11 CARE & MAINTENANCE *
CLEANING
Every day: Clean and rinse the drip tray,
Lift up the coffee cartridge and press the long coffee button to rinse the mixing bowl.
Every week: Lift up the cartridges and clean the holders with water,
Clean the machine with a soft, damp, non-abrasive cloth,
Disassemble and clean all parts of the mixing system :
• Remove coffee cartridge from whipped coffee position
• Remove the cartridge holder (2) and slide (3) by pulling slide
forwards and lifting both parts up and towards you
• Remove the steam trap (4) by turning clockwise and lifting
upwards
• Carefully lift the bowl (5) and pull forwards out of the water
connector. A small amount of water may drip from
the connector
• Remove the mixing chamber (6) by turning clockwise and
pulling firmly towards you
• Pull the outlet nozzle (1) from the mixing chamber
• Wash all parts thoroughly. Be sure to dry the steam trap and
bowl before replacing
• Replace all parts in reverse order
• Replace the ingredient cartridge making sure pin (7) fits
through hole on cartridge slide
• The cabinet should be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use
any type of abrasive cleaner
DESCALING
Like all water heating devices, lime scale will form in hard water areas. To ensure the correct
operation of the machine, it must be descaled regularly. Contact your Fountain dealer for details
about this procedure.
If you would like to descale the machine yourself, you will need descaling crystals. This product is
available from your Fountain dealer, who can also provide the necessary instructions.
FROST
Your machine should not be installed in a location where the temperature might fall below
freezing.
IF YOU THINK THAT THE WATER INSIDE THE MACHINE HAS FROZEN, DO NOT SWITCH IT
ON
Unplug the machine and leave it to defrost. Check for any damage to the reservoir, or for a leak.
If there is no apparent damage, fill with drinking water and reconnect the electrical supply.
