Fountain TECH Pump User Guide.
This manual covers installation, maintainance and safety
instructions for the following UL-approved FT-2500
Energy efficient pump.
INSTALLATION
Submersed:
Place your pump on the top of a flat brick or
stone at the bottom of your water garden. Elevating the
pump off the basin bottom will help prevent the debris
from interfering with the pump’s performance. To test
performance, completely submerge the pump under water
and plug into a GFCI outlet.
Outlet Tube: You will notice the outlet tube can be con
-
nected to several sizes of tubing. Always trim to the larg
-
est-sized tubing. The larger the inside diameter tubing,
the greater the output.
CAUTION: ALWAYS UNPLUG
THE PUMP BEFORE HANDLING.
* Make sure the pump is fully submerged.
* Check tubing for kinks or obstructions and ensure
pump outlet is clear of objects.
* Check water inlet for any obstructions.
1.
Always unplug the pump from the electrical
outlet before handling it.
2.
Keep the pond water clean.
3.
Always operate the pump completely
submerged. Check the water level daily to
ensure the pump will be pumping plenty of
water. If water levels are too low and the
pump cannot pull enough water, it can sustain
damage. Add water if necessary.
4.
Clean the pump periodically to prevent
mineral deposits and contamination.
Product is not to be operated below 41F—Freeze
Damage May Occur. If the pump is installed outdoors in
a freeze zone, ensure all water is removed and the unit is
completely dry and stored in a frost-free area.
1.
To reduce risk of electric shock, always unplug
the pump from the electrical outlet before
handling or cleaning the pump.
2.
To reduce risk of the electric shock, inspect the
pump and the cord for damage before installation
or maintenance---replace pump if damage is
found.
3.
Do not exceed proper voltage as indicated on the
pump’s cord labels. A GFCI outlet is required.
4.
Always keep the cord away from high
temperature and heat.
5.
To achieve the best flowing performance, the
pump should be placed on a flat surface.
6.
Do not let the pump run dry as this will shorten
the pump’s life.
7.
Do not lift, hang, or pull the pump by the power
cord.
8.
Do not pump heated liquids.
