Power Supplies
The FastIron X Series chassis ships with one or two power supplies, depending on how it was ordered from the
factory.
•
The FSX comes with one AC or DC power supply. You can install up to four power supplies in the FSX
chassis.
•
The FSX 800 comes with one 12-volt AC power supply. You can install up to four power supplies in the FSX
800 chassis.
•
The FSX 1600 comes with two12-volt AC power supplies. You can install up to eight power supplies in the
FSX 1600 chassis; four 12-volt AC or DC supplies and four 48-volt AC power supplies for POE.
You can use any combination of the supported AC and DC supplies in the same device.
NOTE:
Note the following regarding POE power supplies:
•
The SX-ACPWR2500-POE requires 220-volt input.
•
The SX-ACPWR2500-POE powers up to 140 class 3 POE ports, therefore, the SX-ACPWR-POE is not
sufficient as a backup power supply.
Table 2.13 lists the power supplies supported in the FastIron X Series chassis devices.
