The manufacturer reserves the right to modify the
described indication of the charging process.
v. Powering the device
a) If the laser device is powered using the battery, open
the battery compartment cover (fig. 2, position 9)
and insert a fully charged battery.
b) If the laser device is powered using a USB cable, first
remove the battery from the battery compartment
and then connect the connector of the USB cable
into the connector of the device (fig. 2, position 4)
and then connect the USB cable to the power supply.
•
ATTENTIoN
y
When the device is powered using the USB cable,
the battery is simultaneously recharged if inserted
in the device, however this is detrimental to the
battery and thus in order to achieve the longest
possible battery lifetime, we recommend taking it
out of the device.

y
For powering the device, use only the supplied Li-ion
battery or the same type of USB cable and power
adapter with a USB output of 5V/1A DC designed for
charging battery-powered electronics (mobile pho-
nes, etc.) or the USB port of a computer. It generally
applies that chargers with a USB output are designed
for charging batteries of, e.g. mobile phones, will
automatically set the optimal charging current
for safely charging batteries, where the battery
charging process is automatically stopped when it is
fully charged, and thus overcharging is prevented.
Using different battery or a different type of power
adapter may result in a fire or explosion as a result of
inappropriate output parameters.
vI. operating the device
TUrNINg oN THE DEvICE
1) Stand the laser device on a stable horizontal surface
or screw the device on to the thread of a tripod (not
included), or screw the device on to a deflection arm
of the holder, which is then attached to a magnetic
surface or screwed on to a tripod.
•
ATTENTIoN
y
It is necessary to level the tripod or holder to a hori-
zontal position, otherwise the self-levelling range
will be exceeded and the self-levelling automatics
will not function.
2) Set the toggle switch (fig. 2, position 3) to the open
padlock position, which will result in the projection of
a horizontal plane in a radius of 360° and a vertical line
(note: the vertical line has a radius of approx. 130°).
3) Repeatedly press the control button (fig. 2, position
7) to set the projection of the horizontal plane and/
or the vertical line.
•
ATTENTIoN
y
By performing step 2), the device is set to the automatic
levelling mode and, in this state, the device must not be
carried, tilted, tilted over, etc. since the self-levelling
mechanism is unlocked and damage to the device could
result. When carrying the device (handling it), set the
toggle switch to the closed padlock position, in which
the self-levelling mechanism is locked.
y
The principle of the self-levelling auto-
matics requires that laser device is not
tilted by more than 4° from the horizon-
tal plane, and then the device projects
a line or a plane after settling, automatically defining
the horizontal or vertical line. When the position of the
device is outside the self-levelling range, the laser line
will flash and self-levelling will not be possible.
