Connecting
Follow these steps to connect the FortiAP to your network.
1. Connect one end of the ethernet cable to the LAN1 PoE+ port
on the FortiAP. Connect the other end to the PoE port on the PoE
adapter.
2. Connect one end of the ethernet cable to the LAN port on the PoE
adapter. Connect the other end to a switch.
3. Connect one end of the console cable to the RJ-45 console port on
the FortiAP. Connect the other end to a management computer for
CLI access.
Optionally, connect one end of the ethernet cable to the LAN2
PSE port. Connect the other end to an external device for
power sourcing.
4. Plug the PoE adapter into an appropriate power outlet. The PWR
LED will light up.
NOTE:
The PIN060 POE Adapter is proprietary. Do not reverse the wires’ connection,
as this may damage the endpoint device.
