To bring the FAP-U42xEV back to factory default setting, insert a pin into the reset point (highlighted
in the image) and hold on for 10 seconds. Release the pin.
On the FortiAP image, the factoryreset command can also be used to reset the FortiAP to factory
default.

Controller Types
FAP-U423EV and FAP-U421EV are compatible with FortiWLC
enterprise wireless LAN controllers, integrated FortiGate
enterprise firewall LAN controllers, and FortiCloud
controllers.
The FortiAP boots up with the FortiWLC AP image (factory default) and tries to discover the supported
controllers. The FortiAP connects to the controller that is first discovered.
If the FortiGate or the Forti Cloud controller is found, the FortiAP reboots with the FortiAP image.
