Required
4 – Plastic Expansion Plugs
1 – Phillips Screwdriver
4 – #10 x ½” Pan Head Screws
4 – 3M Anti-abrasion Film Pads
4 – #6 x 3/8” Black Truss Head Screws
4 – Black ‘C’ Clips
4 - #4 x 3/16” Black Pan Head Setscrews
2 – Large Bumpons
Installation
1. Be sure that the hood is clean and dry inside and out. Open the hood of the vehicle.
2. Center the deflector on the hood then insert the expansion plugs through the holes in the deflector and into the hood.
See Illustration #1.
Be sure that all the components are well seated into the hood, then tighten the #10 x ½” screws into the expansion plugs.
Do not over
tighten.
3. Attach the anti-abrasion film pads to the hood in line with the holes in the leading edge of the deflector. Fold the pads in half over the
hood edge to cover at least ½” of the underside of the hood.
See Illustration #2.
4. Slide the ‘C’ clips over the edge of the hood in line with the holes in the deflector. Be sure that the ‘C’ clips are well seated against the
hood; it may be necessary to tap on the clips.

5. Be sure that the hole in the top of the clips lines up with the hole in the deflector, then tighten the #6 x 3/8” screws through the deflector
and into the ‘C’ clips.
Do not over tighten

6. Make sure all the clips are well seated against the hood. Tighten the setscrews in the back of the clips.
7. Install the two (2) bumpons as shown in
Illustration #1 and #3
.
Attention: The bumpons must be installed on the hood not on the
deflector!!!!
If the bumpons are installed on the deflector, they will wear through the paint.
8. On some vehicles it may be necessary to adjust the hood bumpers and/or latch for proper clearance.
Note: Do not pull on the deflector when opening or closing the hood.

Care Instructions
Clean the deflector with a mild soap and water solution or plastic cleaner only. Do not use chemicals or solvents.
Periodically check to make sure the bumpons are in place and the deflector is secure.
Avoid using automatic car washes.
Do not pull on the deflector when opening or closing the hood.
