Use hazard lights. Attempt to park
in a safe position.

than a mobile as emergency
services will then know the location

Never use a child seat in a front
passenger seat which is fitted with
an active airbag (SRS). Follow all
fitting instructions carefully.

When parked, the handbrake should be fully
applied with the vehicle left in first or reverse
gear for vehicles equipped with manual
transmission or P (Park) for vehicles with
automatic transmission.

Key / remote control operated central double locking. Depress the central locking switch on the centre console to lock the
doors from the inside. All doors will auto lock on vehicle motion.
Remote anti-theft alarm. Passive arming of electronic engine immobiliser after removal of the key from the starter switch.
Visible VIN plate.
Centrally locked. Use the key or remote control to unlock / open. Some models feature a power-tailgate (operated from the
tailgate handle / remote key / front seats).
Electric internal adjustment operated via a control knob on the driver’s door.
Electric front operated via control buttons on the driver’s door. Flip-open second row windows.
Pull the handle on the twin rear sliding doors and slide them open/closed. Activate the driver’s door power child locks.
Check from inside that the doors are securely locked.
Ensure gear selector is in neutral (or N or P if automatic) and linear handbrake is on by pulling it upwards. Place ignition
key in starter switch. Use a normal starting routine (or keep key in your pocket or bag and press the power button to start/
stop the engine). Select desired gear. Release parking brake and brake pedal and gently press the accelerator to move the
vehicle. Vehicles feature engine auto start/stop technology - where the engine shuts down when the vehicle is at a standstill
and foot pedals are not depressed and gears are in neutral - simply depress the clutch or accelerator to instantly restart.
Centrally locked. Located under a long flap on mid near-side at edge of front passenger door. Press the flap to open, and
insert the fuel pump nozzle, the capless refuelling system will differentiate between petrol and diesel fuel pump nozzles.
Rotate the Ford logo on the radiator grille, insert the ignition key and turn it to unlock / open the bonnet.
The rear seats are divided into two rows of individual seats (or third row with a 2:1 split), individial seats can be reclined and/
or flat-folded separately. Second row seats can rotate to face rear seats. Third row seats can be removed. To release the
seat press the seat unlocking catch and fold the seat down. To return the seat to normal use, raise the seat and push it firmly
to engage the seat lock. Check the seats are securely locked before use.
The vehicle is not normally supplied with a full-size spare tyre. For any assistance in the event of having a punctured
tyre, or should the vehicle not be supplied with a spare wheel and tyre or a tyre repair kit, please call the Europcar
Tyre Helpline 0800 0280 999. Loosen the retaining bolt to lower the wheel to the ground. The tools and jack are inside the
wheel recess. Move the vehicle to firm / level ground. Turn the engine off, select first gear (manual) or P (automatic). Apply
the handbrake or parking brake. Loosen the wheel nuts (do not remove them). Only use the specific reinforced jack points
on the underside of the vehicle. Crank the jack to lift the vehicle. Undo wheel nuts and change the wheel. Lower the vehicle.
Tighten the wheel nuts.
To change gears press the button on the shift lever and move the lever forwards or backwards. Select N for neutral, P
when leaving the vehicle, R for reversing (the vehicle must be at a complete standstill before this gear can be selected).
For normal driving select D where the transmission will use all available forward gears automatically (a ‘kickdown ‘ facility is
provided when the accelerator is pressed all the way to the floor past the normal acceleration point forcing the transmission
to select a lower gear to obtain maximum acceleration. Release pressure on the accelerator to return to normal accelerator
use). To manually select gears use the M+ and M- gear selector. Whenever the vehicle is at a standstill apply the
parking brake.
