SEATBELT REMINDER

Belt-Minder®

This feature supplements the seatbelt
warning function by providing additional
reminders by intermittently sounding a
chime and illuminating the seatbelt
warning light when the driver seat is
occupied and the seatbelt is unbuckled.

If...

The Belt-Minder feature will not turn on.

The driver seatbelt is buckled before the
ignition is switched on or less than two
minutes have elapsed since the ignition was
switched on.

The Belt-Minder feature is turned on - the
seatbelt warning light illuminates and the
warning chime sounds for six seconds every
25 seconds, repeating for about five
minutes or until the driver seatbelt is
buckled.

The driver seatbelt is not buckled when the
vehicle has reached at least 6 mph (9.7 km/
h) and two minutes have elapsed since the
ignition was switched on.

The Belt-Minder feature is turned on - the
seatbelt warning light illuminates and the
warning chime sounds for six seconds every
25 seconds, repeating for about five
minutes or until the driver seatbelt is
buckled.

The driver seatbelt becomes unbuckled for
about one minute while the vehicle is trav-
eling at least 6 mph (9.7 km/h) and more
than two minutes have elapsed since the
ignition was switched on.
