USING STABILITY CONTROL
The AdvanceTrac stability enhancement
system provides different modes of
operation for various driving conditions.
The system integrates braking, steering
and powertrain systems using anti-lock
brakes, traction control, electric
power-assisted steering and Launch
Control to optimize the performance for
all driving conditions.
Integrated Driver Control
There are five drive modes that are
accessed by Mode + and Mode – buttons
located on the steering wheel.
Each mode sets predefined defaults for:

Engine controls.
•
Brake controls.
•
Steering effort.
•
Exhaust mode.
•
Dampers.
•
Launch control.

Track
Weather
Sport
Normal
Used at a drag
strip. May or
may not be used
in conjunction
with launch
control.
Used for spir-
ited, aggressive,
and limited
handling while
at race tracks or
autocrosses.
Used for lower
traction, wet
conditions on
public roads.
System limits
yaw and wheel
spin to tighter
limits than
Normal mode.
Used for spirited
on road driving.
Vehicle
response tuned
for on road
performance.
Used for normal
on road driving.
System allows
for optimum
traction at low
speeds, trans-
itions to
enhanced
stability at high
speeds.
Wheel spin and
yaw limits open
up to not inter-
fere with a
skilled driver
while retaining
some system
aids.
Note:
Drag Strip mode enables Launch
Control.
Note:
Launch Control is only available if the
coolant temperature is more than 170°F
(77°C).
Note:
Line lock can only be enabled if
Launch Control is available.
