seconds to unlock all doors.

 to start the panic alarm. 

Press again or switch on the ignition 

to stop the alarm.

 twice within three 

seconds to open the lift gate.

  Car  fi nder:

 Press   twice within 

three seconds to locate your 

vehicle. The horn sounds and 
the direction indicators fl ash.

INTELLIGENT ACCESS

NOTE:

 

Your intelligent access 

transmitter must be within 3 feet 

(1 meter) of the vehicle for intelligent 

access to function properly.

To unlock and open the door, pull the 

front exterior door handle. The unlock 

sensor is on the back of the handle. 

Make sure not to touch the lock sensor 

area on the front of the handle. 
To lock the doors, press and hold the 

door handle lock sensor for about a 

second. To avoid unlocking the door 

inadvertently, make sure you only touch 

the lock sensor and not other areas of 

the door handle. 
To unlock and open the lift gate, press 

the exterior release button on top of 

the lift gate pull-cup handle.

more information.

REMOTE START

*

Remote start allows you to start the 

engine from outside your vehicle using 

your key. To start, press   and then 

press 

 twice within three seconds. 

Your vehicle will run for 5, 10 or 15 

minutes, depending on the setting. 

See the Information Displays chapter 

in your Owner’s Manual to select the 

duration of the remote start system. 
Once inside, switch the ignition on as 

you normally would before driving. To 

switch the engine off  from outside the 

vehicle aft er using your remote start, 

press 

 once.

GLOBAL OPENING WINDOWS

You can open the front windows for a 

short time aft er you unlock your vehicle 

with the remote control. 
Aft er you unlock your vehicle, press and 

hold the remote control unlock button 

to open the windows. Release the 

button once movement starts. Press the 

lock or unlock button to stop movement.

NOTE:

 

To operate this feature, 

accessory delay must not be active.

NOTE:

 

You can switch this feature on 

and off  in the information display, or 

see an authorized dealer.

110-VOLT AC POWER POINT

*

The power point is on the rear of the 

center console and can be used to power 

your smaller electrical devices that do 

not exceed 150 watts. You can use this 

feature aft er you switch your ignition 

on and the battery voltage is above 11 

volts. When the 

indicator light 

is on, the power 

point is working 
and ready to use.

POWER LIFTGATE

*

Your lift gate has an automatic 

open and closing feature. To 

open remotely, press 

 twice 

on your transmitter within 

three seconds. Press 

 twice 

again to close or reverse the 

movement. To use the power 

feature from the driver seat, 

press the 

 control located 

on the instrument panel. 
You can also program a new 

lift gate height by opening the 

lift gate, adjusting the lift gate 

manually to your desired height 

and then pressing and holding 

the lift gate control button. The 

system sounds a tone once it 

saves the new lift gate height.

HANDS-FREE LIFTGATE OPERATION

To Open Your Lift gate Hands-Free While You Are at the Lift gate

1.   Make sure you have an intelligent access transmitter* 

within 3 feet (1 meter) behind the lift gate.

2.  Move your foot under and away from the rear bumper 

using a single kicking motion. Do not move your foot 

sideways or the sensors may not detect the motion. 

MOONROOF AND POWER SUNSCREEN

*

Use the one-touch, express-opening and express-closing feature to 

control various functions. To open, press and release the 

SLIDE

 

control. The sunscreen opens automatically and the moonroof 

opens to the fi rst position. To open the moonroof fully, press and 

release the 

SLIDE

 control again. To close, pull and release the 

SLIDE

 control. Press and release the 

TILT

 control to vent the 

moonroof. Pull and hold the 

TILT

 control to close the moonroof. 

To open the sunscreen, press and release

. Pull and release 

to close the sunscreen.

AUTO-FOLDING EXTERIOR MIRRORS

*

This feature automatically folds the exterior mirrors toward the 

glass aft er you place the transmission into park (P), switch off  

the vehicle, open and close the driver door and lock the vehicle. 

The exterior mirrors automatically unfold and return to the driving 

position aft er you unlock the vehicle and open and close the driver 

door. Additionally, you can use the control on the door to fold the 

mirrors on-demand. 

NOTE:

 

If you use the power-fold control to fold the mirrors 

on-demand and the auto-fold feature is switched on, you must 

use the control again to unfold them. See the Windows and Mirrors 

chapter in your Owner’s Manual for complete details.
