What is Foobler?
Foobler is the world’s first timed, self-reloading puzzle feeder, providing up to 8 hours of fun,
stimulation and reward. With six puzzle pods and four timed settings, Foobler will keep your dog
active and engaged throughout the day. Simply load Foobler with treat or kibble of your choice and
select a timed interval at which it will dispense. Every 15, 30, 60 or 90 minutes the ball’s mechanical
bell will chime, dispensing one if it’s puzzle pods and alerting your dog that it is time to play!
What to do if my dog is an aggressive chewer?
Although highly durable and well tested, it is important to note that Foobler is not a chew toy. Many
dogs will be familiar with tough rubber chew toys and approach Foobler in a similar way, initially
misunderstanding the relationship between interaction with the toy and the reward factor when
treats are dispensed.
Demonstrate the relationship between the bell sound and the reward. Immediately following the
bell sound, roll Foobler to dispense treats. Note that you can press and hold the power button to
immediately ring the bell and dispense the next treat compartment.
Monitor how your dog plays with Foobler. If your dog continues to play aggressively once the entire
treat compartment has been dispensed; remove it, hold down the power button to activate the next
treat compartment, and reintroduce to your dog. This will help to reinforce the association between
the bell sound and reward.
What to do if my dog is timid?
For some dogs, especially puppies, toys can appear to be a little intimidating at first! In most
instances, playing and interacting along with your dog during these first interactions will get them
over any initial uneasiness.
As a treat dispenser, the best dog to introduce Foobler to is a hungry dog! You can help introduce
your dog to Foobler by first placing a handful of their favourite food around the ball. Place some
under Foobler so that your dog has to nudge the ball to get to the treats. Your dog will soon build a
positive association between Foobler and treating.
Once accustomed to the ball, begin to introduce the bell sound. Demonstrate the relationship
between the bell sound and the reward by gently rolling Foobler to dispense treats once the bell
rings. Note that you can press and hold the power button to immediately ring the bell and dispense
the next treat compartment.
