: for connecting the 100-240 V AC, 50-60 Hz power supply cable.

MAIN L/R
: balanced line level output for the MAIN mix bus, 2 x XLR connector.

ALT 3-4
: unbalanced line level output for the ALT 3-4 sub mix bus, 2 x 6.3 mm mono jack connector.

CONTROL ROOM
: unbalanced line level output for the PFL bus, 2 x 6.3 mm mono jack connector.
CONNECTION

Before making any connection make sure that all the equipment has been switched off and disconnected
from the power supply.

Check that all the sliding volume controls for each channel and the MAIN MIX level controls are at their
minimum.

Connect the desired equipment to the channel inputs. Use the XLR connector if it is a microphone or
the jack connector if it is a line level input.

Pre-fader AUX and post-fader EFX auxiliary senders can be used for connecting external audio
processors. The processor output can be connected to the mixer using the auxiliary returns STEREO
AUX RETURN 1 and 2 (EFX).

Connect a USB device with FAT32 format or a SD/MMC memory card with MP3 files to the
corresponding port on the MP3 player and press the MP3 to CH 11/12 button.

Connect the balanced MAIN output to a line level input on a power amp. If you want you can connect
the CONTROL ROOM output to auto amplified monitored speakers.

Connect the equipment to the power supply.

Switch the equipment on in the following order: Firstly, the peripheral equipment, then the SM-3512U
or SM-3520U mixer and lastly the power amp.

Adjust the gain on each channel while watching the input signal level through the PFL bus and the
STEREO LEVEL DISPLAY LED indicator.

Adjust the volume for each channel using the volume controls and send the signal to the MAIN mix bus
with the MUTE/ALT 3-4 selector.

Adjust the output level from the MAIN mix bus using the MAIN MIX volume controls.
