DESCRIPTION
The model MX-824 is a 12-channel mixer for microphones with independent volume control and 48 V
phantom power supply. It allows the number of microphones in a PA system to be easily increased.
It is especially suitable for conference systems, PA installations and audio on commercial premises.
CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONS
FRONT PANEL
1.-
POWER
: on/off switch and LED power indicator.
2.-
MIC 1-12
: volume control for microphone MIC 1-12 inputs.
3.-
MASTER VOLUME
: volume control for the output signal.
REAR PANEL

MIC 1-12
: microphone inputs with XLR connector. Balanced, unbalanced signals and dynamic or
condenser microphones can be connected. If phantom power supply is required, the mixer itself supplies
48 V through the XLR connector activating the 48 V phantom selector on the rear panel.
2.-
MASTER OUTPUT
: unbalanced stereo output through XLR connector and 2 x RCA connector.
3.-
PHANTOM 48 V
: switch allowing the phantom power supply to be activated or deactivated for inputs
MIC 1-12. The mixer supplies 48 V DC in the XLR terminals of the microphone MIC 1-12 inputs.

INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION
Maintain the mixer switched off while the connections are being made.
Check that the cable connectors are firmly connected to the input connectors. A bad connection could cause
noise or interference.
Use suitable cables and that are not excessively long to make the connections: shielded cables, preferably
low capacity.
Always start with the mixer volume controls at a minimum. Move the controls slowly.
Connect the source to the mains.
When not using the mixer disconnect the power supply source from the mains to avoid using electricity.
