PREAMP/MIXER AND POWER AMP INTERCONNECTION
The connection of the preamp/mixer to the FS-2481E power amp can be made with different
connectors, depending on user preference:
- Using balanced XLR connectors.
- Using balanced stereo 6.3 mm jack connectors.
- Using unbalanced RCA connectors.
POWER AMPLIFIER CONFIGURATION

Internal selection of INPUT SENSITIVITY:
The amplifier has three selectable input
sensitivities (1 V, 500 mV, 100 mV). Disconnect the amplifier from the mains, remove
the lid and select the input sensitivity in the SW401 selector on the PAB-1 printed
circuit board. The input sensitivity is 500 mV by default.
- Working mode selection: When several power amps are interconnected there is a
possibility to select the working mode in each one of them.
Working modes:
- One unit: For systems working as just one unit, select the STAND ALONE position in the
SW403 and SW404 selectors. This is the usual way of working and is the default
configuration. Several amps can be used in cascade, each one maintaining its own
volume.
- More than one unit: With two or three units working in cascade, one must be assigned
the role of MASTER. This is done by selecting this position in the SW403 and SW404
selectors. The others must be assigned the secondary role of SLAVE. In this working
mode the MASTER VR volume control is cancelled in the secondary units and the
volume is controlled by the MASTER unit.
The working modesare selected using 2 selectors (SW403 and SW404) found on the PAB-1
printed circuit board.

The working mode is STAND ALONE by default.
IMPORTANT:
For the amps to work as MASTER and SLAVE, the input and output signal
connection must be made exclusively using the UNBALANCED RCA connectors.
