Required software drivers
The communication between PC and DSL over the LAN connection is realized by means
of PPPoE (Protocol Point to Point over Ethernet).
The driver required for this has to be installed and activated on the PC to which the
DSL modem is connected.
Note:
The PPPoE driver for current Windows version can e. g. be downloaded on the
website www.raspppoe.com.
After correct cabling of the modem, the following status indications should be visible at the
top of the modem (see picture page 3, 4):
Status indication Meaning
Power Supply voltage available
DSL - blinking DSL training / dialogue between modem and
exchange / max. 10 min
DSL - glowing permanently DSL modem is registered, training / synchronisation
with exchange is terminated without data error
LAN / Ethernet LAN connection to the PC
