Set an Output
To set an output on the Calibrator, the basic steps are:
1. Use the numeric keypad to enter the value.
2. Select a multiplier if necessary (for example,
M
,
K
, or
U
).
3. Push an output units key to identify the unit to represent. The white entry box indicates the value
and units as you type them into the Calibrator.
4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 for the next set of values, multiplier, and units until all desired parameters
are entered (for example, voltage, current, and frequency).
5. Once you enter the values, push
E
. If the display indicates
Standby
, push
J
to output
the selection.
Note
The display of a small empty green box (or a circle in some functions) next to
OPERATE
in the
upper left of the Display indicates the Calibrator is allowing its internal circuitry to settle. Once
settled, the empty green box becomes solid green.
Note
A useful feature of the user interface is that the Product can change from any single or dual
output function to any other single or dual output function with the steps in this section. The
exception to this are the temperature functions (TC Source, RTD Source, TC Measure). Follow
the steps in this section and use a degree unit to take you to the last active temperature source
function selected through the Function menu or through remote. TC Measure must be selected
through the Function menu or remote command. When you push
E
the selected unit(s)
automatically configure the product to the new function.
See Table
for an example that uses the ACV screen. This same basic process is used for all
functions except temperature functions as noted above. Note that ACV also has other adjustable
parameters. See
.
