Pump does not start
- Mains voltage is not applied
- Float switch (
6) does not
switch
- Check mains voltage
- Bring float switch into higher
position
Pumps has no dis-
charge
- Base (
4) inlet grating
blocked
- Reduces pump performance,
through severely contami-
nated water and additions in
the water which produce a
grinding effect
- Backflow stop
(
10) is
incorrectly fitted or faulty
- Use a water jet to clean the
base inlet grating
- Clean pumps and replace
sealing ring (
13) as nec-
essary
- Check the backflow stop’s
connection. Change it if
necessary (see “Maintenance
and Cleaning”)
Pump does not switch
off
- Float switch cannot drop
- Set up pumps correctly on the
pit base
Flow rate insufficient
- Base (
4) inlet grating
blocked

Pump switches off
after a short period
- Motor contactor disconnects
the pumps because of water
pollution that is too severe.
- Water temperature too high,
motor contactor breaks
- Pull out power plug and
clean the pump as well as
shaft
- Note maximum water tem-
perature of 35°C!
