Filter Cleaning
1.
The RP 4000 has a reverse pulse system that operates every 12-15 seconds.
2.
In normal operation the filters will be sufficiently cleaned with the reverse pulse cleaning
system.
3.
If this system fails to clean the cartridges your filter cleaning system may not be operating as
well as it should.
4.
The most common problems associated with the filters not being cleaned are as follows.
a.
Low compressed air pressure. Check for
i.
Tank Drain ball valve open (compressor runs continuously)
ii.
Leak in the air hoses. (compressor runs continuously)
iii.
Compressor Pressure Switch not set correctly
iv.
Safety valve stuck open
v.
Dust blowdown trigger open or leaking. Disconnect the hose and check
pressure is building up
vi.
Compressor fault
5.
Dust overloading. This causes the filters to become completely blocked and the pulse
can’t
work properly. Open the air bleed valve and run the machine with the inlet open.
