‐
EXTENSION
POLE
Introduction
Thank
you
for
selecting
the
FLIR
Extension
Pole
Model
MR04.
When
connected
to
a
FLIR
Moisture
probe
such
as
MR05
Impact
Pin
Probe
or
MR06
Wall
Cavity
Probe,
the
MR04
allows
the
user
to
measure
moisture
in
wood
and
other
building
materials
in
difficult
to
reach
areas
from
a
safe
distance.
Safety
Instructions
This
device
should
be
used
only
for
purposes
outlined
in
this
guide.
Misuse
may
cause
damage
to
the
MR04
and/or
external
devices,
and
can
cause
personal
injury.
Keep
the
extension
pole
packed
when
not
in
use.
Note
that
the
MR04
can
be
stored
in
the
MR07
or
MR08
carry
case
for
convenience.
Do
not
allow
children
to
handle
the
extension
pole.

Operating
Instructions
1.
Carefully
remove
the
MR04
extension
pole
from
its
packaging.
2.
Press
the
release
buttons
(3)
to
remove
the
mount
plate
(4).
3.
Connect
the
mount
screw
(5)
to
the
probe
and
tighten
with
the
dial
(7).
4.
The
stabilizer
notch
(6)
prevents
the
probe
from
rotating.
5.
Reconnect
the
mount
plate
(4)
to
the
extension
pole.
6.
Use
the
MR04
extender
controls
(1)
to
extend
the
pole
to
the
desired
length.
7.
Use
the
angle
adjustment
screw
(2)
to
set
the
desired
angle.
8.
Operate
the
moisture
meter
and
probe
as
described
in
their
user
guide.
9.
Hold
the
MR04
handle
grip
firmly
when
maneauvering
the
connected
probe.
