2.3.7.

Smoke Control Panel

The Smoke Control Panel is located on the instructor station control panel. The smoke panel is equipped
with smoke generating control push buttons and indicators. See Figure 2-15 for an illustration of the panel.
The push button controls are labeled EMER EXHAUST and READY. The smoke generating malfunctions
are triggered using the touchscreen and are programmed to generate smoke for at least 30 seconds. After
the smoke has stopped the generator is programmed to automatically exhaust the smoke from the simulator.
The smoke generating machine and exhaust blower are located outside the simulator on the floor beneath
the motion base.
