SET UP
The instructor should plan the events which will occur during the training session. Make a list of events,
such as changes to weather conditions and adjustments to wind speed and direction, and the touch screen
on which they are located to avoid having to search for them during the flight.
Before training begins, the previous session settings must be cleared from the Instructor Station. A simulator
technician can verify there are no settings left from the previous session and the simulator is ready for
your session. When this is accomplished, set up flight conditions for the simulation using the lower touch
screens.
NOTE
Set up the training session before depressing
the Control Loading push button.
The training session can be set up before the pilot performs the cockpit preparation procedures. Use the
following instructions to specify the initial position at the airport, and weather conditions.
1) Select the ACTIVE AIRPORT master collar button. Select the CHANGE REPOSITION
AIRPORT overlay button. Select the desired Airport direct entry button and then select the
OK direct entry button.
2) Select the ENVIRON/VISUAL master collar button. Verify that the airport identifiers on
this page are the same as those selected on the ACTIVE AIRPORT page.
3) At the Environment/Visual page, verify that the VISUAL button value is ON.
4) Verify that AUTO REFERENCE button value is ON.
