3 Installation
3.1 Preparation
Do not place the device in a metal casing.
1 Position the pressure switch and wireless input
module within a metre of the cooker hood
exhaust duct. Fix the unit to the wall with the
accompanying screws.
2 Connect the wires from the kitchen fan to the
connections marked “Filter”. It is immaterial
which wire is connected to which connection.

2 Turn on the power to the device, the status LED will light for 3 seconds.

4 Description
4.1 Intended use
The device is designed to change the ventilation mode during use of a cooker hood.
4.2 Working principle
The device communicates with the ventilation unit using wireless communication.
4.2.1 Ventilation speed and mode
During use of a cooker hood the ventilation system is set to

1 About this manual
1.1 About the device
The CI81 is a transmitter, which communicates with the ventilation system through the
wireless adaptor. The alternative ventilation setting is initiated when the chimney fan is
started, and transferred via wireless communication to the air handling unit.
