In addition to the analog outputs, the transmitter can also be equipped with binary and frequency outputs. For the
installation of an analog output see section 9.2.3.
13.1
Installation of a binary output
If the transmitter is equipped with binary outputs, they have to be installed and activated before they can be used:
• assignment of a measuring channel (source channel) to the binary output (if the transmitter has more than one
measuring channel)
• assignment of the physical quantity (source item) to be transmitted to the output by the source channel, and of the signal
properties
• activation of the installed binary output in the program branch

Selection of a binary output
• Select the binary output to be installed.
• Press ENTER.
• Select
yes
to install or reconfigure the output.
• Press ENTER.
• Select
no
to uninstall the output and to return to the previous menu item in order to select another output.
• Press ENTER.
Assignment of a measuring channel
• In the scroll list, select the measuring channel to be assigned to the binary output as the source channel.
• Press ENTER.
This display will not be indicated if the transmitter has only one measuring channel.
Notice!
The settings will be stored at the end of the dialog. If the menu item is quit by pressing BRK, the changes will not be
stored.
