Typical Installation
1. Turn off electrical power to pump at the control box or unplug from electrical outlet.
2. For replacement of existing tanks, de-pressurize the tank and drain the system of water before removing the
tank.
3. Remove the tank from the box and inspect for any damage which may have occurred during transportation of
the product. Do not install a tank that shows visible dents!
4. Install suitable fittings into the bottom connection of the tank making sure that the pipes extend sufficiently
through the bottom base to make system plumbing connections. Make sure to mark the inlet pipe to
ensure proper flow direction.
5. Place the tank in the desired installation location taking care to ensure that the tank is
level and stable
. To
ensure maximum tank stability, the base should be fully supported.
6. Make all plumbing connections to the tank utilizing proper and accepted installation procedures.
(Note: When connecting to copper or brass sweat fittings, take proper caution to prevent the
plastic tank connections from heating up and melting.)
7. Turn on the water to the system and inspect all connections to ensure that they are leak free.
8. Re-connect the power to the system pump, pressurize the tank and again inspect all connections for leaks.

ed below are a general guidline to proper and accepted installation practices. Please refer to accessory installation
instructions for specific installation procedures.

Use PVC cleaners and glue that are suitable for plastic connections. Make sure to follow manufacturer’s
recomendations for use and proper ventilation.
