MAINTENANCE

Rear pin maintenance

o

When the FlexArm is removed from the angle mount, the openings (bores) should be covered. This
prevents grinding dust or other foreign materials from finding their way to the interior surface of the
bore. The exposed exterior surface on the shaft of the FlexArm's rear pin must not come in contact
with any foreign material. If the FlexArm is not going to be immediately repositioned in the angle
mount, wrap the rear pin with a clean, dry cloth, paper towel, or plastic sheet. Before reinsertion,
inspect the surface and, if needed, thoroughly clean the shaft of the rear pin. Prevention will ensure
a long-wearing bearing surface that retains its perpendicularity.

Powerpack fluid and filter

o

The Hydraulic Power Pack oil should be changed every 3000 hours of use (approximately). The oil
drain plug is located on the bottom of the Power Pack, and the fill plug is located on the rear of the
Power Pack (The drain plug is a metric hex head bolt, and the fill plug requires a metric Allen
wrench). The Pump Filter should be changed if the loss of power occurs, and all other
troubleshooting methods have failed.

If utilizing a unit with a 2-speed gearbox

o

The 2-speed gearbox should be checked every 3-6 months and greased if necessary. Use only Lithium
type grease - do not over grease.
