TO BEGIN PLAY
• Flip open the mouthpiece to turn the phone ON.
LANGUAGE SELECTION
• Choose either
SPANISH
or
ENGLISH
by sliding the lever into
the up or down position.
• One of the two friends will light up, indicating which
language you have chosen.
• At any time during play you can change the language by
moving the lever.
NUMBERS:
• Press any number on the phone to hear that number in either
English or Spanish, depending on which language is selected.
• To hear a number’s translation, change the language by
moving the lever into the alternate position.
SUBJECTS:
There are 4 subjects to choose from:
- Family
- Fun
- Animals
- Food
• Choose a subject by dialing the 3-digit number indicated on the flip-down portion of the phone and pressing the
“Talk/Habla” button.
• The phone will play a sequence of phrases from that subject.
• To hear a phrase’s translation, change the language by moving the lever. The last phrase played will be translated in the
alternate language.
• To hear another phrase from the same subject, press the “Talk/Habla” button.
• To hear a phrase from another subject, dial its 3-digit number and press the “Talk/Habla” button.
ADDITIONAL BUTTONS
• To repeat a phrase at any time, press the “Repeat/Repetir” button.
• The “#” button will count from zero to nine alternating between English and Spanish.
• The “*” button will randomly dial one of the subject numbers.
Toy Sleep Mode:
• If the toy is not played with for more than 30 seconds it will say “GOODBYE” or “ADIÓS” and automatically shut-off.
• Press any button to reactivate.
• Closing the mouthpiece turns the toy off.
• Flip open the mouthpiece to turn the phone back ON.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
• If sounds play slowly or distort or the lights dim, replace the batteries.
• Replace with 3 “AAA” batteries as shown:
BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION
1. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
2. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged.
3. Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
4. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable
(nickel-cadmium) batteries.
5. Do not mix old and new batteries.
6. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
7. Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
8. Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.
9. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
10. Dispose of battery(ies) safely. Do not dispose of in a fire as batteries may explode or leak.
