Assembly Instructions
FirstBIKE ”BIG-APPLE“
This model has a reflective stripe on
a ”Schwalbe BIG-APPLE“ tyre.
The front fork can be disassembled for transport.

Assembly procedure:
A
First, hold the front fork (1) and the frame (2) together
at the headset. Insert the axle (3) into the headset from
the top. It is important that the
thread is at the top
.
It must be inserted completely. It may help to put the
wheel bolt (6) in the axle and to tap gently with a hammer.

The aluminium cover (4) for the headset is used to close
the opening at the top of the headset.
Use the screw (5) to fix the aluminium cover.
Tip:
When mounting the front wheel, turn the FirstBIKE
upside down so that it rests on the seat and handlebar.

The bolt M 8 x 120 mm (6) and the nut M 8 (7), are used
for mounting the front wheel. The nut fits in the hexagonal
hole on the left side of the fork. Tighten the bolt securely,
using the 6 mm Allen wrench (8)!
Disassembly of the front fork for transport:

To disassemble the front fork, unscrew the aluminium
cover (4). Turn the special screw (11) in the thread of
the axle (3) to pull it out.
To assemble again, repeat steps

The brake adjustment must be checked as follows:

Adjust the brake cable tension with the adjustment
screw (9) so that the brake does not rub or engage
when the brake is off.
F
By adjusting the brake lever screw (10), the distance
between the handlebar and the brake lever can be
reduced (for small hands).
Recommended tyre pressure for FirstBIKE ”BIG-APPLE“
front wheel: 1.2 bar
rear wheel: 1.5 bar
