Limited Warranty
Invensys Controls warrants only to the original purchaser of this
smoke alarm that, other than the battery, the smoke alarm is free from
defects in material and workmanship under normal residential use and
service for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase.
Invensys Controls warrants only to the original purchaser of the Items
#470L and 470LC smoke alarms that the battery sold with this smoke
alarm is free from defects in material and workmanship under normal
residential use and service for a period of one (1) year from the date of
purchase. Invensys Controls agrees to repair or replace, at its option,
any defective smoke alarm provided that it is returned with postage
prepaid and with proof of purchase date to Invensys Controls. This
warranty does not cover damage resulting from accident, misuse,
abuse, or lack of reasonable care of the product, or applications not in
accordance with the owner’s manual. This warranty is in lieu of all
other express warranties, obligations, or liabilities. THE IMPLIED
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED TO A PERIOD OF FIVE
(5) YEARS FROM PURCHASE DATE. Some states do not allow
limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above
limitations may not apply to you. IN NO CASE SHALL INVENSYS
CONTROLS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF THIS OR ANY OTHER WARRANTY,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WHATSOEVER, EVEN IF THE LOSS OR DAM-
AGE IS CAUSED BY ITS NEGLIGENCE OR FAULT. Some states do not
allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have
other legal rights which vary from state to state.

postage prepaid, a note describing the nature of the difficulty, and
