Ignition
1. Turn the control knob to START.
2. Open the gas cylinder by turning the valve anti-clockwise.
3. Press down and turn the control knob to LOW position and
hold for 10 seconds.
4. Whilst holding the control knob, press the ignition button until
the pilot flame is ignited at the bottom of the burner.
Turning off the heater
1. Turn the control knob to START.
2. Turn off the gas by turning the valve clockwise.
3. Ensure the pilot flame is extinguished.
Testing gas leakage
• If you suspect the heater is leaking gas, turn off the gas supply and
have inspected by a qualified technician.
• Testing must be carried out in a well ventilated area.
• Do not operate any electrical equipment if a gas leak is present.
• Do not attempt to locate the leak with a naked flame. Locate the
leak by sound, smell or by using soapy water on the suspected area.
Bubbles will indicate the place of the leak.
• In the event of a leakage, the heater must be turned off at the
regulator and disconnected from the cylinder.
