How to Install
Make sure that your Pellet-Q450™ is turned off and is completely cool. Remove the
small left grill grate from the cooking chamber. Next, remove the small metal cover
from the Open Flame Port.
The Sear Station™ grates have male and female edges. Interlock the two panels by
fitting the male and female edges together then lay the Sear Station™ inside the grill
with the rails up where you just removed the small left grill grate.
How to Season
Seasoning your FireCraft® Pellet-Q450™ Sear Station™ grates will provide better
cooking results and create a near-nonstick surface. Before cooking on the Sear
Station™ for the first time, apply grill spray or canola oil to the raised rails.
Tip:
To help the seasoning build up, try grilling fatty foods the first few times
and avoid over-cleaning the grates.
