7.2. Alarm (smoke) Test.
Se lect obscuration mark on the fil ter to cor re spond with the De tec tor alarm
thresh old (see fig. 9 ).
Place the fil ter over the re ceiver op tics (Top of De tec tor Head - op po site end to
the sta tus in di ca tion LED’s) at the cor rect obscuration value de ter mined by the
thresh old se lected, i.e. if a thresh old of 35% has been se lected, po si tion the fil -
ter just past the 35% obscuration value on the fil ter (see fig 9).
Take care not to cover the trans mit ter op tics.
The De tec tor will in di cate a fire within 10 sec onds by activating the ALARM
LED and op er at ing the Fire Re lay.
8. Con nec tion and Con fig u ra tion Set tings.
8.1. Field Wir ing.
The field wir ing in ter face is ac cessed through the back plate of the De tec tor
Head (See Fig. 12). The 8-pin con nec tor is the in ter face to the
field wir ing
and is num bered left to right. Each unit is fit ted with a ‘fly ing’ lead, with an
8-pin con nec tor fit ted. Re lay states are shown in pow ered, no alarm, no fault
con di tion.

8.2. DIP Switch Set tings.
Ac cess to the con fig u ra tion set tings is through the back plate of the De tec tor
Head (See Fig 12 page 10). Fac tory de fault con fig u ra tion set tings are
marked
