1. Recheck all cables and connections.
2. Reboot the E-8100.

• Faulty UIB cable
• CPU overheated
• Faulty motherboard
1. If you suspect that the problem may be caused by a print
job, try printing a different job.
2. Recheck all cables and connections.
3. Reboot the E-8100 and check whether the CPU cooling
assembly fan is operating. If the fan is properly connected
to the motherboard but does not operate, replace the
cooling assembly.

1. Make sure that the copier is powered on and ready to print.
2. Make sure that the copier interface cable is the correct type
and is correctly connected to both the copier and the
E-8100.
3. If the problem persists:
• Recycle power on the copier.
• Recycle power on the E-8100 by shutting down through the
E-8100 Control Panel, waiting 10 seconds, and then
powering the E-8100 back on (see
