Connecting to the copier

After completing the preliminary checkout, connect the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) to
the copier. The Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) communicates with the copier through a
cable from the copier interface board to the interface port on the copier.

COPIER

Power off the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) and the copier.

You may need to get permission from the network administrator or supervisor to power
off the copier.

Locate the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) copier interface cable shipped with the copier,
and connect the cable to the interface port on the copier.

Connect the other end of the cable to the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) copier interface
connector in slot 3 on the back panel (see Figure 3-2).
