Installing the bumper spikes, guide bar and chain
5. INSTALLING THE BUMPER SPIKES,
GUIDE BAR AND CHAIN
ATTENTION!
Always wear protective gloves when installing and inspecting the chain to prevent injury from
the sharp cutting edges on the chain.
Installing the bumper spikes (Fig. 2)
Using the included hex key and screw, attach the bumper spikes, see fi gure. For correct attachment, it is
necessary to screw out the exhaust cover bolt and after the installation to screw it back in. This bolt serves to
attach both the bumper spikes and the exhaust cover.
Installing the guide bar and chain
The safety brake lever (Fig. 1 point 10) must be disengaged (pull it towards the top handle)
Loosen two nuts and take off the sprocket cover (Fig. 3, point 1).
Seat the chain on to the guide bar and then thread on to the sprocket (pinion). At the same time, hold the
chain on the guide bar.
ATTENTION!
The chain tensioning pin must fi t into the hole in the guide bar (Fig. 4, point 2). The position of
this pin can be adjusted using the chain tensioning screw (Fig. 5)
