Determine the type of duct you have.

IF YOU HAVE METAL DUCT:
Apply supplied wet and stick mounting template to air duct in either a vertical or horizontal position

Cut out the marked openings on the template. (Refer to template as shown in Figure 2B)

Remove the paper template from the duct.
